This Privacy Policy applies to the services offered by Profumi and http://www.profumi.com.au
Protecting the your privacy
Profumi is committed to safeguarding personal privacy. Profumi
recognises that individuals have a right to control how their personal
information is collected and used. Providing personal information is an
act of trust and it is taken seriously. Unless given consent to do
otherwise, Profumi will only collect and use personal information as set
out below.
Profumi complies with the National Privacy Principles in the Privacy
Act 1988. Profumi has also developed and implemented a set of principles
on personal information which reflect world best practice on privacy
policies. These principles meet and exceed the requirements of the
Federal Privacy Act in Australia.
Personal
information collection
Profumi will not collect or monitor any personal information about an
individual without their consent. The only personal information
collected is what has been provided voluntarily.
When a product is purchased or through marketing activities (online, via
mail order or telephone), personal information may be requested
(such as name and address) in order to provide products and delivery or
advise of other products, which may be of interest. No one is obligated
to provide personal information. However, failure to do so may result in
Profumi being unable to sell you products or provide services including
after sales services.
Use of cookies on this website
Cookies are pieces of information that a web site transfers to a
computer's hard disk for record keeping purposes. Most web browsers are
set to accept cookies. Profumi uses cookies to make your use of the website
and the services offered on it as convenient as possible. Cookies do not
themselves personally identify users, although they do identify a user's
browser. Cookies allow Profumi to display an automatic add to favourites
popup to appear only once. It is possible to set your browser to refuse
cookies. However, this may limit the services provided to you by
Profumi's web site.
Disclosure and use of personal information
Profumi uses personal information in a range of ways that include:
- Fulfil obligations under sale and
purchase contract between the customer and Profumi.
- Obtain opinions and comments
about our products and services for improvement.
- Provide information about products,
other services and/or special offers.

Profumi's business such as after sales service.
Profumi recognises the trust with which

be used or disclosed for any other purposes without consent, except in

to protect the rights or property of Profumi. In the unlikely event that
any assets or parts of Profumi's business operations are transferred to

Under the Spam Act 2003 it is
illegal to send, or cause to be sent, eunsolicited commercial

Australia, or originates overseas but has been sent to an address
accessed in Australia.
The Spam Act covers electronic messages
?Eemails, mobile phone text messages (SMS), multimedia messaging (MMS)
and instant messaging (iM) ?Eof a commercial nature. However, the Act
does not cover voice or fax telemarketing. The legislation sets out
penalties of up to $1.1 million a day for repeat corporate offenders.

Profumi does not send advertising
information referred to as SPAM, entrants in competitions may receive
occasional membership emails as explained in "Conditions
Of Entry". Visitors who sign up for membership will receive a
membership newsletter occasionally. On
occasion a third party will submit their associate's details for
membership without prior permission, under these circumstances Profumi
will not be held accountable.
If you receive member
newsletter communications from Profumi which you do not wish to receive,
you may remove your details from the database by emailing Profumi via unsubscribe@profumi.com.au
Your right of access and review
You have the right to review the information that may be recorded on the
Profumi database. Information may be reviewed and/or amended by
contacting Profumi on the customer
enquiry number (07) 5527 5351. In the same way, a request may be made to
delete personal information, and all reasonable steps to delete the
information will be made, except where it is required for legal
reasons.
Profumi's use of third party service providers
Like many businesses, Profumi uses a range of third party service
providers in its business operations. This means that individuals and
organisations outside of Profumi, such as couriers will sometimes have
access to personal information held by Profumi and may use it on our
behalf. We require our service providers to adhere to strict privacy
guidelines and not to use this information for unauthorised purposes.
Secure storage of personal information
Profumi will endeavour to take all reasonable steps to keep secure any
personal information recorded, and to keep this information accurate and
up to date. The information is stored on servers that are
protected in controlled facilities. However, security of communications
over the Internet cannot be guaranteed, and therefore an absolute
assurance that information will be secure at all times cannot be given.
Profumi will not be held responsible for events arising from
unauthorised access to personal information.
Virus Scanning
All incoming and outgoing email communications including attachments are
scanned by antivirus software that has virus definitions updated on a
daily basis to protect both Profumi and the customers computers and
networks.
